Host an Event

Have you ever considered hosting an event to support Amos House? Whether simple or elaborate, the key is bringing people together for a great time and a great cause!

Here are just a few ideas.

Souper Bowl Party

Invite your friends over to watch the Super Bowl and to make a financial donation to Amos House’s soup kitchen. In keeping with the theme, you might serve light refreshments including soup or chili.

Birthday Party

Are you the type of person who already has everything you need? Or would you like to do something extra special to celebrate your birthday? Consider holding a birthday bash. In lieu of personal gifts, ask guests to make a donation in your name to Amos House. You can even match the suggested gift with your age. If you’re turning 50, you might ask each guest for $50.

Book Signing

Are you an author with a social conscience or do you know one? How about hosting a booksigning at your home or another venue and donating part of the proceeds to Amos House.

Garage or Moving Sale

Just think of it. You can accomplish two great things at the same time – getting rid of all that stuff that’s been piling up in your home and supporting homeless men, women and children. Whether you donate all or half of the proceeds to Amos House, be sure to let buyers know that each purchase will help someone in need.

Movie Night

Gather around the TV with your favorite people to watch a movie recently released on DVD. Charge an “admission” fee at the door or collect donations for Amos House during intermission.
