Amos House Raffle

Tickets for the 5th annual Amos House Raffle go on sale in August. Prizes include Apple’s iPod nano, amazing gift certificates, $1,500 in cash and more! Annual Walk-A-Thon –
Mark Your Calendar!

The “Walk to D-Feet Hunger & Homelessness,” our annual walk-a-thon, will take place on Saturday, September 27, 2008, 9:00 AM at Roger Williams Park, Providence. Jill Moniz Promoted to Project Manager

Jill Moniz was promoted to Project Manager at Amos House.  Over the next six months she will oversee the opening of the Friendship Café, a new neighborhood diner on the corner of Broad and Friendship streets in Providence.  Our More Than a Meal catering business will operate the diner.  The project has been launched in conjunction with SWAP, a community development corporation.

More Than a Meal at Kennedy Plaza Thursdays and Fridays

More Than a Meal catering has partnered with RIPTA and the City of Providence to bring delicious on-the-go outdoor dining to Kennedy Plaza as part of a downtown marketing initiative. Every Thursday from 11AM to 7PM, More Than a Meal will be serving up gourmet hamburgers, shishkabab, beef and vegetarian hot dogs, fresh fruit, desserts and more.  On Fridays from June 13 to October 31, we'll also operate a food kiosk at the Farmers' Market at Kennedy Plaza, sponsored by Farm Fresh Rhode Island. Look for us Fridays, weather permitting, between 11 AM and 2 PM thoughout the summer and early fall.
