Housing Overview

ShelterAmos House is home to more than 160 formerly homeless individuals at any given point in time. In a variety of settings, including our Mother Child Reunification Program, Men's Program, Women's Program, Family Apartments and Supportive Housing throughout Providence, Amos House provides these individuals and families with a sense of trust, safety, and a solid foundation from which to grow. Our housing programs create community and an extended family for our residents. We offer a continuum of housing programs, from 90-day programs to permanent supportive housing. Over the past ten years our properties have provided transitional and permanent housing to more than 2,300 people. Our services include:

ShelterOur men’s and women’s transitional housing programs provide safe housing for hundreds of homeless people each year. Many of our guests in the past year have experienced homelessness for the first time, due to the high unemployment rates in Rhode Island and the dramatic increase in the number of foreclosures due to the financial crisis that stems from these rates of unemployment. Our phase two housing programs assists individuals and families on their journey from homelessness to self-sufficiency. For more information, click one of the links above.
